I know this thread is old, but I've been trying to set up a search string that searches a certain username in certain forums, but it doesn't work:

http://www.simfansuk.com/sims/search.php?do=process&forumchoice[]=288&childforums=1&searchuser=ladyangel&starteronly=1

However, this just gives me a results page with the user all threads in all forums.

When I leave out the username it doesn't work either, just takes me to an error page stating the the search parameters are too wide.
