Can someone help me with some code to return the thread.dateline field formatted for display.

The template that uses the results showthread.php is forumdisplaybit and I'd like to display the thread start date underneath the thread starter name.

I know how to reformat the date from unix time but just can't seem to figure out where to insert the code in showthread.php

(i'm using V2.5)
