That thread refers to a forum browser that was made for my forum. Since its inception and with the popularity of vbulletin I suggested that they incorporate the ability to use this with all vbulletins forums. I have tested it here and at vbulletin.com and it works on both. This will work with any vbulletin v2 and above and might well work with older versions as well although I haven't tested it. This is not a hack, but, is a full blown browser for vbulletin. The link to download and instructions to configure it to use with your vbulletin or any forum you visit is posted in the above thread. While this has been used by a number of our forum leaders it was just released to the public Friday. You might encounter some bugs as this is a public beta. The developers need to get feedback from a larger group on what features could be added and any bugs you encounter.
