what i said in my last post, it worked mate. you can see in screenshot i added for normal registered users. i have user ranks and titles to. it worked for me.

EDIT: ok, im getting what you mean now. hmm.

so removing all titles from Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager. then adding in usergroup active members a new title.
then find 1 active user member, edit them in admincp and change Custom User Title in drop down to "yes user set".

thats all i did and for some reason it worked.

EDIT: This works. I tested on my test forum and it worked fine. thats 2 forums i tested on.
All i did was delete all the user titles from "Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager." NOT user ranks. "User Title Manager.".
I then went to Registered User Groups and added a title.
then went to Maintenance>>Update Counters>>"Update User Titles and Ranks".
thats it, and worked mate for what you want.

as long as you remove all titles, "Admincp>User Titles>>User Title Manager." delete. it should work.
