Nah, clicking "install" doesn't do anything to your board - It just registers you as you have installed the hack on the vB.org forums, then whenever the hack is updated, you are send an email so you know about the upgrade.

It's also used for stats, when you are looking at the hacks, you see the "Users who have installed this hack", its really just the amount of people that have clicked the install button.

Most hacks are fairly easy to install, you will need FTP and admin access to your forum, but yeah.

If you wanted to get someone else to install them, I would recommend to get a good friend to do it for you, as you will need to give the person install the hack full admin access.
