It's been our experience we've attract more thread views on our forum using simple HTML in the "Rich Text" options in Thread Prefixes.

College sports forum so it enables us to attract fans for individual sports that may not follow all sports. (IE: Basketball and baseball fans might not follow softball, but baseball fans alone would...if that makes sense.)
