I will of course post our findings.

we have only two plugins:
"Tapatalk" (which will remove when we use ForumRunner)
"Usergroup Color Bar" version 2.1.1 "

We have already disabled the plugin with
"define ('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);" in the file "config.php"
but does not work the same.
