Also, query count is really not something you should be worried about any more. You should worry more about the efficiency of each query. I could go on a small rant about 100 queries that take 0.00001 sec vs 1 query that takes 2.4 secs, but you'd probably tell me to go away about halfway through

It's been about 5 years since query count was something to worry about, as back then the servers were not fast enough to return the result of even 1 efficient query in a timely manner (and also do everything else you wanted a web server to do).
