It would be easier to write an external program not using the calendar/event system to do what you want. I know this is not what you are asking, but you have a better chance of having it done at a cheaper cost. It would not be too difficult to code something like this up if you keep it simple. Event driven logic is very time consuming when it comes to testing and therefore should increase the cost of of APP if the programmer really knows what he is doing, which is why I suggesting this other route.

The vBulletin calendar/event system is finicky code.
