Well, I doubt it. Let me explain a bit. We recently upgraded our forum from VB 3.8 to 4.1. For testing this upgrade, we have cloned the forum before the upgrade and tested the upgrade with this clone.
And here comes the interesting part: The clone doesn't suffer from this problem and so far I could not find any difference in settings or templates that I would consider relevant. Even the style ids are the same in both installations. You cannot select the special style in the test installation either.
