I am not convinced that the problem is because the license check is not working. Anyway, I gave up on the 3.5.0 PL2 I deleted all traces of 3.5.0 PL2 - all traces whatsoever of vbseo - and reinstalled 3.3.2 But then I had the same issue with license check!
So, in desperation, I restored the entire site to the way it was before the ill fated upgrade. (I did not touch the SQL databases of course.) All is well now - or at least as it was - with 3.3.2
This soured me badly to vbseo, and if I decide to upgrade my site to vbulletin 4.2.1 or whatever the latest version of vb 4 is, I will not use vbseo at all.
I have another forum running vb 4.2.1 with NO vbseo in it, and it works fine. There seems to be no real need for vbseo with vbulletin 4 and above.
Also, although vbseo's website is back up, their SUPPORT section of the website is not up at all, and the ticket I created for this issue two days ago has not been answered. As well, the email to their "techical staff" is returned undeliverable. The last communication I received from vbseo was many days ago when they told me that they have no plans to create any future versions of vbseo - no further updates - and nothing for vbulletin 5.
