I love using a sort of 'points' system on any forum I'm on.

I use vB Experience for awards, but that's about it. I don't like the way any other system uses the points sytem. So I've been slowly coding this out. It's coming out nicely, and I have many plans for the future.

First thing's first, how does one earn reputation by themselves?

• A user is awarded 2 reputation points if he / she replies to a thread.
• A user is awarded 4 reputation points for creating a thread.
• A user can be awarded 1 reputation point via Chatbox by fellow members using a custom /rep USERNAME command (Modified Cyb - Chatbox by me with extra commands)

Is there any other way a user can gain reputation?

Yes! With my Reputation donation system, a user can donate reputation to another fellow user.

What else can members do with reputation?

Well, this is my "W.I.P" part.

For now, once they hit 1000 reputation points, they can purchase a usergroup upgrade with a custom color, more PM storage, more permissions, etc.

They can also, of course, donate reputation.



In the future, I'm going to allow them to purchase sticky threads, maybe an add banner, etc.
