For want of boring members with this seemingly never ending subject is there anyone out there who would be kind enough to help us. We run a forum for ex-Merchant Seamen. With 9000 members inevitably only a few hundred regularly log in. We would like to find a reliable, relatively simple way to send out a newsletter to all members maybe 3~4 times a year.

Now I understand the basics of HTML but in an ideal world it would be great if there was a way that we could create a reasonable quality newsletter without the need for an in depth knowledge of coding. Frankly we are too old to get involved with too much. I can't believe that in 2013 someone has not come up with some kind of Add on that would suit us and many other members here.

Unfortunately despite a few hours searching on here today all I can find is petty squabbles about things that didn't work seamlessly 3 years ago. The solution must be compatible with version 4.2.0 patch 3.
