Stop and think for a minute what you're proposing though. Forced email subscriptions regardless if you want it, unless you manually opt out. Really Bad Idea IMHO.

And have you thought ahead a bit to when people's email addys start going bad? Members drop out, drop dead, change ISP's, etc. Bad enough to have a ton of bounced emails from those that purposely asked for the emails!
