I have htpasswd protection on my admin control panel directory. Essentially what happens is that when I browse to the admin cp url, the login box prompt comes up and if I click cancel it then leads me to a white page with the word "401 Unauthorized". However, If I were to access the admin cp by entering index.php at the end, and then click cancel, it would let me through.

Not sure why this is happening. I also want to say that htpasswd is done through cPanel.
