Turn off your stats modification. Those hog resources big time.
Don't list all your sub-forums on your forum home page. Take a look at your page source on that page - that needs to be sent out to everyone everytime they click on that page. It's HUGE.
Get rid of as many graphics as possible on your home page. Or at least optimize them. You have a 300 x 100 gif and it's over 24KB in size
http://www.upislam.com/images/66908021861817659542.gif I ran it through this site and just reducing it to 32 colors saves you 28% in size. And honestly, it doesn't look that different and nobody will notice or care. You could probably go to 16 colors and reduce the size by 43%.
Do not show images inline. Or, if you must, turn on thumbnails and leave it at 100x100 and use those. Then users can click on the thumbnail to see the full image.
Turn off viewing attachments and thumbnails for Unregistered Users. This is a MUST right now! It's a usergroup permission.
That's enough to get you started. But you should also take a look at all your modifications and see if they are really needed. Facebook comments? Similar Threads? Take a look at anything that adds queries or external scripts.
