The default font colour has always been black, but until a colour is chosen by the user it will use the forum default.

To be more precise, if users don't select a different colour, but saves for instance Bold, Black will be recorded as their default font colour too.

You can edit the available colours in the dbtech_vbshout_editor_toolbar_colors template
