I've been taking a couple of months to get my forum going and haveb't even launched it yet but got a shock to find over 4500 blog posts had been put on it by spammers. I have noe turned the forum off until I'm ready to 'go live' with it. I'm considering the extent to which I should use features such as human verification, moderation of posts, permissions, etc to try and protect the forum.

I'm interested in hearing:
1. How much is the spamming an on going problem?
2. What measures or combination of measures are you all using to inimise spamming?
