I noticed this too on my test site and I PM'd Joe on his site last night. I actually started a new test site that's an exact copy of the live site and the problem only persists on the test site. The FB Like button still works on the live site for some reason. Best I can find is that some embedded CSS that draws from the FB site isn't getting embedded on the test site for some reason.

Most likely reasons is in Facebook Options (the default vBulletin Facebook Options) you have a Facebook Application ID entered but no Facebook Secret entered. You need neither or both, you can't just have the application ID with no secret.
