vb.org Archive - View Single Post - How are spammers filling in the homepage field?

The registration form doesn't ask them for their homepage. Yet when some new members register their profile shows a URL in the homepage field even though they don't have access to editing their profiles.

How is this happening?

And if bot submissions are somehow fooling vB into accepting homepage field data, how can we set vB to automatically delete any new account that has a homepage?
