I'll always remember when Bob invited me to join his site at the time - The Bear Facts 2 (some of the older members here will know the site well); it had its own private area for coders to share ideas and code snippets and a game called Legend of the Green Dragon which Bob was very fond of.

A lot of the modifications he released lately were actually modifications he developed back in those days and maintained and updated as and when vBulletin evolved and credit to his coding skills those mods have stood the test of time.
