This is defnitely Tapatalk's fault. They didn't send a User-Agent string when POSTing, which almost always indicates malicious behavior. In addition, in my testing with Tapatalk for Android, it sent several different user-agent strings (and one was obviously fake) when performing GET requests. Until Tapatalk fixes their apps, whitelisting the URL is probably the best you can do.
