Thanks for the reply GForce

but when I initially tried changing the value on the admin cp you reference (in the smilies modify area) all I found that it does is change the number of smilies displayed to me (the administrator) for editing the smilies in the CP... it doesn't change the smilies displayed to users when replying to messages.... (If I have to type the word "smilie" once more today I'm gonna flip.. )
