you should be able can change the text, style, background colors from the additional.css code, to fix the lines upload the breadcrumb image i uploaded here -https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2324796&postcount=9, that should probably do it. post a link to your forum, looks like you are using a custom style, so you might have to do the edits manually instead of just replacing the footer. That would explain why it looks kind of out of place and the links disappearing. For any links you had in the footer, well it you might have to revert the template or reinsert those links from the old template as this changed the entire footer template(stock or custom)
