You only said changing the style fixed it, you didn't say it was to a default style.

Anyway, if it works on the default style, that means it is a problem with a template on your custom style. So, you need to go through the edited templates (I'd start with header, headinclude, and footer) and compare them to default templates and make sure all necessary code is in your custom templates.
