Has anyone else done this or something similar? Like with UserVoice?

Anyone, does anyone have any tips, experiences, things to watch out for, etc. when setting up SSO with vBulletin, another forum or really any user auth that would use Desk.com's PHP script.

vBulletin isn't particularly the most secure software and I am concerned about any things that may need to be addressed or watched out for when implementing this.
