vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Change navtab-menu into a dropdown on the main navbar?

Hi guys, so I'm trying to get my site looking as I'd like and one thing I'd like to have is, for whichever navtab (Home, Forum, Blogs etc) is selected, instead of having the bar underneath with the submenu (ie for Forum there's Today's Posts, FAQ etc), have a drop-down menu with the relevant submenu.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some info on where to mess with the navtabs? I can't seem to do it through the navbar template, where can I edit the CSS?
