Ok, stick this code in the file right after the require() line:

$urlencusername = urlencode($bbuserinfo['username']);
$htmlusername = htmlspecialchars($bbuserinfo['username']);

Now use $htmlusername in the username parameter, and $urlencusername in the profile parameter.
