According to /etc/php.d/ioncube-loader.ini the library being loaded is php_ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so (it's a plesk box) .. is that not what it needs?
I tried changing the ini to point to a ioncube_loader_lin_5.3.so version but then I got the error message as the quoted text: "requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the website operator. If you are the website operator please use the ionCube Loader Wizard to assist with installation."

I think I fixed my problem:
I went to ioncube website and downloaded in a .zip file the proper one based on the OS my host is running. Opened it up, extracted the folder to desktop.
Logged into my host via ftp and they had a folder called ioncube. I opened that folder and there was no .2 or .3 files so I copied both 5.2 files from the folder on my desktop to my ioncube folder on my host and bam it worked.
I am still running into issues when typing into my chat with a stupid security ticket error that I haven't figured out yet though.
