Something totally reprehensible and just plain fracked up happened at my site that I do not want to share with the world at this time. When a solid defense against what happened is arrived at and proved to work, I'll update this thread with what happened and how it was resolved.
If one of you that is really good at htaccess and robot.txt setups would like to work with me to find a solution please let me know and I'll pm you with screenshots and details.

Ok so here's what happened. On the 10th of Feb. 2012 my site was hit 260 times by HTTrack. It's a website copier program. According to the awstats in cpanel each encrochment only counts as 1 hit. The good thing was it identified itself by name. I googled it and came on to the website. It's open source software. And readly available.
According to the FAQ's at the source, it's virually unstoppable. Here's the link to that part. http://www.httrack.com/html/abuse.html
It's sad when some twit resorts to running this on websites just to steal the content.
Any one have any ideas on how to stop this abomination of the internet?
