These are not permitted on shared servers because they tie up database connections. If an application attempts to use them it may generate the Mysql Server has gone away messages. I would simply move to a better host mate.
I have a reseller account with them and dont use it for myself at all lol.
I had to move. I could not keep getting these errors.
