Actually I just reread what nerbert posted above, I guess it's a style variable so that probably means that you don't need to edit any templates.

The url should be the url to your forum with "/images/misc/" and then the file name.

ETA: ...and it looks like the default titleimage value is "images/misc/vbulletin4_logo.png", so you don't need the entire url, you should just be able to change the filename part (which you've probably done already, so I guess I'm not helping much).
