The vBulletin publishing suite has been a huge disappointment. I've decided to give up on it and move to Wordpress for articles and blogs.

My plan is to turn off VB CMS and blogs, but keep the forum, and use WP for home, articles and blogs.

Currently I have VB installed in the root. I also have vbseo installed. What I would like to know is: can I install WP to run home/articles/blogs whilst keeping VB for the forum, and not lose the existing forum posts? I think I read somewhere that you have to have VB and WP in different directories, implying I might have to sacrifice the threads if I want WP to run the home.

Any help much appreciated.
