To me it's not a question of if vB3 is more desirable, the fact that vB4 is not necessarily more desirable, is the deal.

It's a pain in the rear to upgrade in any event, even to newer versions of 3. Therefore there should be some compelling reason to upgrade, and right now there just isn't one.
