That depends on how you see the two playing together...

APIs like this still require you to have a list of products in the system to look up. Google could be integrated to pull back more details, even local stores that sell the item, but not so much to start threads automatically.

If your goal is to get items to list you'd need to get Google's Product Feed. From working extensively with datafeeds I can you tell we're talking serious data, millions and millions of records. Fun stuff too.
