How do I make my subforums appear in a vertical fashion like vbseo.com rather than the standard horizontal position?

I am looking for something like: http://www.vbseo.com/forums/.

I am currently running vBulletin 4.1.7 (I think, it's not the newest).

All help is greatly appreciated!
