This is a great hack and I used it for years on my vB 3.x-Forum and installed it after upgrading to 4.1.x - but unfortunately it has 2 strange behaviors:

When there are no unread posts and you click on the link (even if makes no sense), a blank page appears instead a message or a forum page
The result from a click on the link is different fronm the result with a click on the menu item "New Posts" - shouldn't they be identical in a forum?

Can anyone confirm this behavior or is it a local problem of my forum? Any hints what to correct/ change?
