I have two forums as no registration required, but 5 others I would like to use registration. My hope was to have users be able to log in and out without having to leave whatever thread they were looking at. We got logging out with this great link hack that you've shown us, Firefly. How about logging back in?

When users choose the log-out redirect that you showed us, they then become logged out users. Once logged out, if they go to another thread and want to reply with their logged in profile, could they do it without leaving the thread? I notice on the posting form for logged out users that thereare fields for username and password. For logged out users those fields are filled with "unregistered"for username, and a blank for password. That's ok, but when I tried putting a registered username and password in those fields, it rejected them?

Any ideas about letting them log back in and still be redirected or not leave the thread?
