I seem to have encountered the same problem Occosion is encountering. The shoutbox was working yesterday, but when I checked my site today, it was not working. Trying to access the archive gives the following error in Firefox:
Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
No other error report of any kind is visible. The shoutbox itself (on the main page, instance 1, and the only instance on the site) still is present, but the shout list just gives an infinite "Loading..." screen. All files are still present and intact, the database of the shoutbox is fine, so I have no idea what the issue is. No one tinkered with anything, because I'm the only one with higher-level permissions on my entire site.
EDIT: Just checked something. Shouting still works, in the sense the shout is added to the database without any problems. This is purely an issue of it not displaying the shouts correctly.
