On my site only when selected on text area boxes such as create thread and where you enter your registration info when signing up the box turns almost black with using a black font color making it nearly impossible to see what you're inputting. Once you've moved to a different text box the text area box turns light grey keeping the black font making it visible. I want to find the style var (or vars) to either make the active boxes grey too or change the active input font to white.

I am using a custom style I got here but haven't received any response from that thread. I'm assuming the style var being used is universal?
