No, none of that is correct. You really shouldn't be installing modifications at all until you learn how vbulletin works. But if you must, then lesson #1 is that you must read a mod's entire thread before installing. This is not just so that you understand how it works, but so that you don't accidentally download incorrect versions like you did in this case.
