I have a forum set up like the following (completely made up topics)...
Code:
Main Page
--Monkeys
--Stuff about monkeys
--Buy monkeys
--Monkey pictures
--Giraffes
--Stuff about giraffes
--Buy giraffes
--Giraffe pictures
--Rhinos
--Stuff about Rhinos
--Buy rhinos
--Rhino pictures
--Other stuff
--Off-topic discussion
My users will be coming into the site at depth 1. That means they'll be landing on the "Monkeys" page, or the "Giraffes" page, or the "Rhinos" page, so they won't see any of the other sections.
I would like to have an off-topic section that they can visit, however I don't want a separate off-topic section for monkeys, a separate one for giraffes, etc. If they click on Off-Topic from within any of those sections it should take them to the off-topic section in the "Other Stuff" category.
I need to be able to put an off-topic forum into each section and have them all link to the same off-topic forum. I realize that I can do this with links, but in that case it does not show the views/threads/last post (it just shows a dash instead). Is there any way to show that forum with this information but actually link back to the off-topic forum in the "Other stuff" section?
To clarify, in the end it should look like the below, with all the "off-topic" forums actually being the same one forum.
Code:
Main Page
--Monkeys
--Stuff about monkeys
--Buy monkeys
--Monkey pictures
--Off-topic discussion
--Giraffes
--Stuff about giraffes
--Buy giraffes
--Giraffe pictures
--Off-topic discussion
--Rhinos
--Stuff about Rhinos
--Buy rhinos
--Rhino pictures
--Off-topic discussion
--Other stuff
--Off-topic discussion
