The problem is that we didn't write these hacks. If they disapppear, then that's just the way it goes I'm afraid. We tried to force them to stay (kidnapping close relatives, threatening to expose their deepest secrets to co-workers, etc), but alas this has proved ineffective.

As nakkid says, in the final analysis hack support is the responsibility of the respective authors.
