There is no mention of vBMail in those error messages so I'm unsure why you think they're related

Please upgrade to vBulletin 3.8.4 or newer, as that was fixed in that version: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...3.8.4-Released

In addition, open those two files and find =& new and replace with = new - that'll silence the errors
