^ That's the thing, I always compare online work to automotive work because everyone knows that a mechanic's rate varies and is dependent upon many things... if he's good but no shop = less $$$ however if it's at a shop well now your paying for part of his overhead which = more $$$ and there's also many other factors involved or some of you would prefer to call them variables

but long story short and point being - You must make a well-informed decision before hiring someone to do work for you! Also, just to be clear, imo there are some talented individuals out there and sometimes in other countries making them more affordable at that... this is where the issue of trust comes into play, if you trust in someone you may find a very affordable coder who values morals and ethics - just because someone has a company or flashy/fancy website does not warrant any form of guarantee and I'm sure many of you can vouch for that however not trying to derail the thread and steer any of you into a ranting tangent within this thread simply saying that sometimes, giving someone the benefit of the doubt can pay off in your favor
