I've been running vb3.6 for at least a year with zero problems. All of a sudden, it takes about 15~20 seconds to load every page. It's almost like it hangs for 15 seconds, then loads the page. The hosting company says nothing has changed on their side, however i know nothing has changed on my side either (in terms of changes/code anyway).

I am unsure what to try next, can someone give me some
pointers on how to debug this sort of issue?

It just hangs for 15~20 seconds, then loads the page.

It's driving me nuts. I realise i should probably upgrade, but i am perplexed as to why it would work fine all this time, then suddenly stop working.

scub my question; i simply updated all the old code files and it's working fine again. I think someone hacked the site a few weeks back (there were some suss files i had no idea what they were). All good now. Mods perhaps delete this thread.
