i am aware that vbulletin has a built in referrel tracking system that allows other members to simple attach ther userid to it that gives them credit for the sign up.

My question how do you use it correctly?

The options says this:

If you enable the User Referrer system, then a user who visits your forum through a link that contains 'referrerid=XXX' will give referral credit to the owner of the referrerid when they register (where XXX is the userid of the referring user).

ok so is, http://myforum.com/register.php?referreid=membersname , correct?

it says it will automatically fill in the referrer box, but it does not?...
