I currently have a subscription integration for vBulletin.org via paypal and it integrates without any bother.

Once the user registers they can go to subscribe.php, it shows the types of subscriptions, mainly length and cost. Once they click subscribe and go through the paypal details, the Instant Payment Notification on paypal comes into effect and sends details to the paypal script and it then moves them into the appropriate usergroup based on the length and cost of the subscription.

Unfortunately it was done for a private customer so you'd have to contact me for a price, I accept paypal for payment.
