I don't see why not since there have been mods that stop threads rising for years. You just want yours to have the option to only prevent rising if the poster is the same as the Original Poster.

Personally, I think if you're going to pay for that you should also have the option not to bump at all. AFAIK nobody's quite done that for vb4 yet. Some topics just get so hot we'd like to cool them down without closing them.
