On the default design, I cannot figure out which variable controls a few things... Help is appreciated.

Profile Page > Visitor Messages. These (by default) appear to have a white background. I am wondering which variable changes this? I am speaking of the area where the visitor messages are posted.
Albums > Recently Updated Albums. When you mouse-hover over the albums it has a white background. I cannot find where to change this.
Social Groups > Member display in sidebar. It shows four avatars and usernames on each row. Is there a way to downsize that to two?
